Flying flea
In a defining moment for Royal Enfield’s 123-year legacy, the renowned motorcycle manufacturer launched its dedicated electric vehicle line, Flying Flea, at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. The name pays homage to one of Royal Enfield’s most historically significant models, originally designed in the 1940s for military use during World War II. The original Flying Flea was celebrated for its compact design and nimble handling, allowing it to be air-dropped behind enemy lines.
Fast forward nearly 75 years, and the Flying Flea is reborn as a brand name for Royal Enfield’s electric range of motorcycles. This new line aims to deliver a series of fun-to-ride motorcycles that are lightweight, ideal for urban environments, and unmistakably distinctive.
The inaugural models from this EV brand, the FF-C6 and FF-S6, are expected to hit the streets by early 2026. Each motorcycle reflects Royal Enfield's commitment to its heritage, blending classic styling with cutting-edge technology.
Both bikes feature innovative design elements, including:
The Flying Flea models are powered by an in-house developed Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), enhancing connectivity and customization. Additionally, the VCU supports regular Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, ensuring a continually evolving riding experience.
Innovative features include:
Designed for convenient city travel, these electric models can be charged using standard 3-pin plugs.

Royal Enfield anticipates a real-world driving range of over 100 km on a single charge, with a top speed of 115 km/h.
Royal Enfield’s entry into the electric mobility sector with the Flying Flea brand signifies a substantial investment in research and development, driven by a forward-looking vision for sustainable urban transportation. With over 200 engineers dedicated to the project across India and the UK, the company has crafted core components—from motors to custom software—entirely in-house. The establishment of an exclusive EV manufacturing facility in Chennai reinforces Royal Enfield’s long-term commitment to shaping a new, sustainable era of motorcycling.
