Aston Martin has finally revealed the much-anticipated Vantage Roadster, a convertible sibling to the revamped Vantage coupe introduced last year. As the quintessential fusion of power and elegance, the Roadster boasts extensive upgrades in performance, design, and tech, reaffirming Aston Martin’s commitment to pushing boundaries.
With deliveries slated to commence in spring this year, the Roadster promises to be a head-turner, both on the road and in Aston Martin showrooms worldwide.

Under the hood lies the same mighty twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 sourced from Mercedes-AMG, now reworked to churn out an exhilarating 656bhp and 800Nm of torque—a significant leap from its predecessor’s 512bhp. This beastly engine delivers a 0-60mph sprint in just 3.5 seconds, a feat achieved despite the Roadster weighing 60kg more than its coupe counterpart.
While the additional weight slightly affects acceleration, the top speed remains an impressive 202mph (325kph), matching the coupe. Power is seamlessly delivered to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox with recalibrated ratios for sharper gear changes and more spirited in-gear acceleration.
The Roadster is more than just about raw power. Aston Martin has worked tirelessly to enhance its dynamics, tweaking the aluminium chassis and stiffening the rear end by 29% under load. A revised suspension system with Bilstein DRX adaptive dampers, double wishbones up front, and multi-link rear suspension ensures sharper handling and more responsive feedback.
Stopping power is bolstered by optional carbon-ceramic brakes with 410mm discs and six-piston calipers, paired with bespoke Michelin Pilot Sport 5 S tires for optimal grip.

Aston Martin has retained much of the coupe’s DNA, but the Roadster makes its mark with subtle yet significant changes. The larger front grille, revised bumper, and enhanced headlights dominate its front profile, while the rear sports additional vents and a reworked bumper.
Its sleek silhouette accommodates the world’s fastest folding convertible roof, taking just 6.8 seconds to open or close—almost twice as fast as rivals like the Porsche 911 Cabriolet and Ferrari Roma Spider. The roof can be operated at speeds of up to 50kph and folds neatly behind the rear seats, albeit reducing boot capacity from 350 liters to around 200 liters.

Inside, the Vantage Roadster is a masterclass in luxury and functionality. A 10.25-inch touchscreen and a matching digital driver’s display modernize the dashboard, complemented by wireless smartphone mirroring and gesture controls. Aston Martin strikes a balance between digital and tactile, retaining physical buttons and switches for climate control and driving modes.
For audiophiles, the standard 11-speaker system can be upgraded to a bespoke Bowers & Wilkins surround audio system, fine-tuned specifically for the Roadster.
The refreshed Vantage Roadster is expected to arrive in India by the second half of 2025, following global deliveries in April. With the Vantage Coupe priced at ₹3.99 crore (ex-showroom), the Roadster is projected to command a premium, with estimates hovering around ₹5 crore.
The 2025 Vantage Roadster stands tall among rivals like the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet and Ferrari Roma Spider. Its potent engine output and ultra-fast folding roof also bring it closer to hyper-luxury competitors like the Maserati MC20 Cielo and McLaren Artura Spider.
With its impeccable blend of power, precision, and elegance, the Aston Martin Vantage Roadster is set to redefine the open-top driving experience. For enthusiasts and collectors alike, this is not just a car—it’s an emotion on wheels.
