The dawn of a new era in automotive safety is here. Mahindra’s BE 6 and XEV 9e have achieved an unprecedented feat, earning 5-star crash ratings in the Bharat NCAP tests, setting a new standard in safety for electric SUVs in India.
Both vehicles, part of Mahindra's Electric Origin SUV lineup, not only secured the highest possible ratings for adult and child occupant safety but also delivered record-breaking scores, underlining Mahindra’s commitment to excellence in automotive engineering and safety.

The smaller BE 6 SUV proved its mettle in both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP). Tested in its top-spec Three B79 variant (79kWh) with a gross weight of 2,415 kg, the BE 6 demonstrated exceptional crashworthiness.
The BE 6 also passed the ESC tests and performed well in dynamic crash scenarios. It scored full marks in the dynamic tests and CRS installation tests, offering robust protection for child occupants.

The larger XEV 9e went a step further, earning the highest AOP score ever recorded by Bharat NCAP – 32/32 points. Tested in its Three B79 variant (79kWh) with a gross weight of 2,492 kg, the XEV 9e delivered flawless safety ratings.
Standard safety features include front and side airbags, ISOFIX mounts, and optional knee airbags. The XEV 9e’s top variants come equipped with Level 2 ADAS and a 360-degree camera, delivering unparalleled safety across the board.
